This photo was taken in the hotel where the bride was getting ready. The light was very flat so I had an assistant point a remote flash at the bride from the bottom of the electric stars and I tried to balance it with a little on camera flash to avoid the strange shadows that were caused by lighting from below.
I was working only slightly above ambient light anyway. This is one of the brides favorite images and I received lots of comments about the image and other brides getting ready in the hotel asked me to get a similar image. Shortly after the hotel changed its policy and is no longer allowed to use the electric stairs for photos as it may actually be dangerous for brides with longer dresses.
